Domingo's interest in making jewelry started more
than 25 years ago when his grandfather first showed him how to make
necklaces from the broken shells of quahogs. Since then, Domingo
has earned a reputation for fine quality craftsmanship and
recognition for his beautiful jewelry. He has won ribbons at native
craft festivals and Native American pow wows, as well jewelry
competitions and sites across the
nation.
Personal*Note: I truly feel
blessed by the Creator for allowing me to possess such talent. Many
years ago I accidently discovered that I had the talent to make
jewelry, and with Rhode Island being the jewelry capital of the
world at that time I never looked back. I feel that there must be a
spiritual and universal connection between my talent and my
anscestors who were once known as some of the best wampum makers of
the trade. |
